Soeun Bae (b.2000) works with sculpture, technology, and performance to question what it is to be living inside of a body. Her objects present a depersonalized and desensitized way of relating to our bodies, in need of regeneration and transformation in a world of consumption and utilization. 

Bae was born in South Korea, raised in Alabama, and now based in Brooklyn, NY. Bae completed her BFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2023. Her exhibition Liquid Arrangement was presented at Wave Hill’s Sunroom Project Space in 2024. Additionally, her work has been shown in the A.I.R. Gallery, NY; AHL Foundation, NY; Millenium Film Workshop, NY; Space One Eleven, AL, among others. She has been an Artist-in-Residence at Stove Works, TN; Sculpture Space, NY; NARS Foundation, NY; Velvetpark, NY; and Anderson Ranch, CO. In 2023, Bae received the T&W Contemporary Visual Art Award from the AHL Foundation.
