Catalina Ouyang

Catalina Ouyang’s practice spans sculpture, language, installation, performance, video, participatory projects, and other modalities to inhabit the interstices of myth, desire, subjugation, and monstrosity. Ouyang has had solo exhibitions at the Knockdown Center, Queens, NY; Make Room, Los Angeles, CA; Rubber Factory, New York, NY; Selena Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; and Millitzer Gallery, St. Louis, MO. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in New York City; Frankfurt, Germany; Mexico City; St. Louis, MO; Columbus, OH;  and Chicago, IL. Ouyang has attended residencies at Shandaken: Storm King in New Windsor, NY, the NARS Foundation in Brooklyn, OBRAS in Evoramonte, Portugal, the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, FL, and the Vermont Studio Center. Ouyang has received awards from the Foundation of Contemporary Arts, the Puffin Foundation, the Santo Foundation, Real Fine Arts, and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation. Ouyang earned an MFA from Yale University.
